EPA Rule Could More Than Double Production
The Environmental Protection Agency is charged with overseeing final rules on the new version of the federal Renewable Fules Standard (RFS-2). The rule could mean the oil industry will blend as much as a billion gallons of biodiesel this year- more than double 2009's production. Just how the biodiesel and oil industries intend to meet requirements will be a hot topic of the conference, including a Tuesday general session with speakers from every link to the petroleum supply chain.
